I was born and raised in McKinney, Texas. After graduating from McKinney North High School, I went on to earn my bachelor’s degree and play four years of baseball at The University of Oklahoma. Although I was never fortunate enough to make it to the College World Series, I participated in the NCAA postseason all four of my years in college. The Sooners competed in the Baton Rouge Super Regional against LSU my sophomore year as well as the Columbia Super Regional against South Carolina my junior year.
After completing my playing career in 2014, I moved directly into my coaching career. For the first year I gave private lessons and coached a team out of the Frozen Ropes organization in McKinney. I then moved on to my teaching and coaching role. During the 2015-2016 school year I was with Duncanville ISD at Duncanville HS. Moving forward, I was fortunate enough to take the opportunity to work under the great Donnie Watson here at Braswell for the 2016-2017 inaugural year.
I have two incredible parents (Shelly and Terry) who will continue to support my coaching career as long as they possibly can, a brother (Tj) who is an outstanding coach out of McKinney, and a Fiancé (Chandler) who I will be marrying next summer.
I am looking forward to an outstanding first year at Braswell High School.
